I think trading only in base is good, then there's more risk when exposed. For example during a counter raid, if someone gets C4 or something crazy, they just hide, trade outside TC range and then go back to the fight. Risk of losing is lessened, I think the way it is now is good.

I feel most of the time we're just trying to get BP's we don't already have or trade resources for resources, except the few who try to use the system to their advantage.

I'm still new to the server so I don't know how things were ran before, but I want to put a vote towards bi-weekly BP wipes. My reason why is because we can raid really quickly if we do well. For example my team had tier 3 workbench and were geared to silent raid within a few hours. I'm not sure how much explosive ammo we used but we went through a few armored doors, garage door and stone wall.

My point is, with the trade system we're able to trade for BP's and it's not too difficult to get most BP's within a week maybe a few days. 4 days after the wipe population trickles down a bit and end of month is weird.

Decreasing map size or growing server population like mentioned above for the 2x Trio would be great. On long distance roams I find my group encountering only a few people usually geared with kit starter and on raids we might find 1 or 2 counter raiders.

raid block is only annoying if you want to tp loot out instead of trying to defend/build up. on normal servers you cannot take everything and trade it out, so I feel like NOT having raid block would actually be modifying raiding more. Nothing hurts more then farming and prepping a big raid to have the trade out everything so you don't profit, makes online raiding EXTREMELY not worth, and pretty much only lends to more offline raiding, which is less fun to do the raid, and less fun to log in and have no base without a chance to defend.

Yeah but assuming trio, that's 2 trades immediately at start of raid and 2 more 5 min later. So within 6 min you have traded out 20 slots of items. That can be 40k gp or 4000HQM, or 40 rockets or 20 m249s. It could be any number of things but that's in just 5 minutes, and that can EASILY be the difference in profiting or not.

Also not to mention, from a solo players perspective it will never be fair because they cannot trade out loot, and unless they only raid other solos, the people they raid always will trade out as well

I wouldn't mind having no trade, I just think it's kind of a balance issue to let groups trade out loot during the raid.

If you see the only option is to disable trade then do what you wish for your servers, I was just pointing out common problems and how other server admins have solved those problems.

At the end of the day it is your server to run, but I feel like these are pretty agreed upon problems.

Why not, with the map voting, instead of trying to find four decent maps, just chose four random maps. That way it takes the stress off of you to find good maps, but it's still better than any other server in that aspect.

Yeah. But when it wipes thursday it wont wipe bps. And on saturday it will. So 2 days of just battlefield. When they can have a one time wipe thursday and wipe the next saturday. It makes it 9 days just 1 time. After that back to normal.

I suggest you up the price of the L96 and the 8x on your 2x server. When people pop their VIP kits they can almost already afford it. That makes it to common of a gun and makes it not very fun to play because first day of wipe people are already roof camping with it.

@eager sedge in my opinion the refund system discourages online raiding as they can just wall them selves and there loot in with no consiquence and more than that it means that you can make bunker bases witch are extremely op. I was raiding logan where he removed the ceiling above me and dropped down ontop of me 3 times with double barrels and killed me not through skill but through the broken double barrels and the fact that he was able to /remove the ceiling ontop of me. And to make things worse he had a bunker base that was only able to be done becuase of /remove. I like the server and everything about it but I prefer to online raid people but when some bs like that occurs it just makes me feel like there is no point in doing so.

I think to help remedy the pumpkin issue, they should make it a percentage chance you get a seed. Not saying it should be below around 60%, but even on an official server I play on also, the bandit camp is alone covered almost half in pumpkins

I get that and obviously gun drops would not be doubled, they arnt in crates, but Milo tuns scientists are actually a threat with the so update and I feel that lootdrops arnt optimal, they work for vanilla but feel under powered in 2x

Suggestion: Add more description about your servers. You have a lot of cool mods/quality of life changes that I did not know about until entering the server. Would suggest adding to the description in the rust game server list/search as well as under #476932241419796492. Put our server IP (Without the port) once its running and you start to lag and see packet lose on the tool we can determine if its our host connection or your internet. If its our host connection this tool will tell us exactly where it came from. (Meaning exactly which router at our hosting is causing the issue and they can look at it and fix it)

I suggest either lowering or removing upkeep on the XP server, since upkeep is a system that hurts smaller groups, and allows bigger groups to raid more bases. ( resulting in the bigger groups being even higher on the pyramid, leaving many smaller groups super poor. )

I don’t think you should buff armoured doors. Or if you do nerf walls. Metal shouldn’t be 8 rockets and hq shouldn’t be 16. I believe 4 - stone, 6 - metal and 10 for HQ. 4K GP + Sulfur for one door is mental. Also team ui should be the group limit but I understand you need to build population first. I think this is going to be an awesome server and I like the changes Waggy has made. Most are very good QoL changes.

HQ isn’t that hard to get. Especially if scrap is still in this version you can just go to outpost buy sheet metal and then recycle it, getting hq and metal and half scrap back going and buying more to recycle.

Upkeep should be kept at vanilla, but decay should happen quicker once cab runs out of resources clearing asset lagging entities which aren’t being used quicker. Going by stubeans suggestion of removing upkeep just gives more power to big groups just building massive fuck off bases with no restriction. A small group doesn’t need a big base and isn’t restricted by upkeep nearly as much as big groups.

I’m assuming scrap is still in the game just can’t be used for researching from what I’ve read in the rustxp. What is going to happen to the prices of the bandit guns? Since scrap is only going to be used to craft the benches are you going to alter the prices of the guns? IMO they should be slightly higher. Given scrap is going to be more plentiful.

I just want to say I agree with the Armored door suggestion above. Leave it how it is, it's always been easier/cheaper to build a strong base than it is to raid it, making the armored door double hp will just make it even easier. You are essentially forcing people to go through walls/ceiling/floors and these are much easier/cheaper to make than doors are. I like the mechanics as they are, you have to build in a way that if they go through doors there are essentially the same number/more than they'd have to than going through wall/ceiling.

I notice as well that armored door comes before any high tier raiding explosives. If someone gets to level 23, they can essentially make their base unraidable before someone has timed explosives/rockets (this is assuming they are leveling at a similar pace, which I know is not real world scenario). I believe these should unlock around the same time. At least Armored Door and Timed Explosive charge. As it stands, people rarely get armored doors in the current Rust vanilla, so just having these more available via unlocking is already going to change the building/raiding mechanics pretty significantly

Well giving a player a armour door and a explosive can also ruin it at the same time

We are going for longer progression

So we dont want to have to wipe weekly we want to have to wipe Monthly

But to start we are doing weekly to see how progression goes

and we may stay at weekly etc

but its all about making the game last longer for getting end game items

Which is what I love about this idea and I am totally on board with. Honestly the level thing isn't a big deal, it's mainly the double hp of armored doors that concerns me. Will this also apply to Double doors? (Say goodbye to garage doors? yuck)

We buffed armored doors as they are very expensive to craft (25hqm and 5 gears), they're high level, and they're generally not used due to only being 1 more c4 than normal doors

Raiding should be difficult and expensive to wipe hours and hours of work

See I feel like they reason they are not used is more so because a lot of people don't unlock them. As soon as you introduce a system where they are automatically unlocked they will be everywhere

Not disputing that logic, we can see how it all goes 😃 I just know this will change the way I build a base pretty significantly (more honeycomb (which I hate XD))

At the very least, double hp should mean extra cost (double?), at least make it that much harder to achieve if they want it

I know 25hqm and 5 gears seems high, but it's not that bad.. although extra cost will likely just mean larger groups will once again have a big advantage..
