my main bord is from 2013 and useing ram differnly it is in dual channel look up my main bord and it will make sence

also i got the mainbord for free so i have no io shield

#

also ram does not allways go in 2 and 4 it depends on your motherbord most new motherbords do in 2,4 but not all
