This used to be how the old Tourney Bot worked. You'd have to go through an overly complicated process to create and join a team.
The entire team was then registered to the tournament and could chat etc. Users didn't like this because it was too complicated and people who weren't on Discord couldn't participate in the tournaments.
So we changed it to be a plain text roster entry, and only the team captain is registered, and can chat. The rest of team can click the "Spectate" button to still see the tournament, but can't chat. It gets way too crowded with all the team members and captains chirping away, however you can modify this with channel permissions.
With the roster you can input anything, for example, mention every single Discord user on the Roster, along with their VALORANT Riot IDs etc. @wild tinsel
