Problems with Retail Emerald Egg RNG

A few month ago i started using this tool to RNG some eggs and it worked great. But now nothing works for me.
I can't hit my frame and i don't get a result for the eggs that i hatch to check.

I play with an original game on an GBA SP, i have every Trainer in PokeNav except Triathlete Pablo.
I use a 6IV Ditto that i RNGed, so the two don't seem to like each other.
My female Larvitar holds an everstone.
But i also have no success when i don't use an everstone or a different Pokemon.
I mostly use the German translation, but get the same results in english when i tried it.

As far as no everstone goes, I was able to get that in a few minutes, so something might be incorrect with your setup.

Can you post a screenshot of every registered pokenav trainer you put into the web tool?

For everstone, I think there are two problems:

First, the web app doesn't make it clear that Ditto takes everstone priority when it's present.

1. Male + Female: Female uses everstone
2. Ditto + Male: Ditto uses everstone
3. Ditto + Female: Ditto uses everstone

Your everstone is on the Larvitar, not the DItto.

The second issue is that you're right about the results not being accurate.

The web tool and PokeFinder show the same results, and both don't seem to reflect Pokemon people can actually obtain.

So even if the Ditto was holding the everstone, it's not always going to work out.

I've had little motivation to look into this (I've been focused on gen 4), so I've been tempted to remove everstone as an option from the site until this is figured out.

Ah right, iirc we're not able to find all everstone results due to vblank issues.

As far as I can tell, the inputs for a non-everstone attempt look correct.

Can you expand on what you mean by nothing works for you in the non-everstone case?

Are you unable to find results when calibrating, or is there something else not working?

What's the target you're aiming for?

One other thing to keep in mind: if a parent levels up in the daycare it will mess up the RNG.

Parent Pokemon should be over 400xp away from leveling up. Your larvitar is low level and only needs ~800xp, so if you do two RNGs with it, there's a chance the second will mess up.

If it's been in the daycare for a while, the odds of leveling up messing with the RNG were higher since it took less xp to level up.

First of all, thank you so much 😄

I was finally able to hit my Frame! The Problem was propably that i put the nature of my female pokemon in the tool, insted of the nature of the Ditto. Now with the nature of the ditto and without the everstone it worked in like 4 tries...
So i probably always used male pokemon the first times i used the tool?

But finaly! i was freaking out over the last days...

Just a last final question, in step 2, for rng manipulating the ivs... is there also a thing, that ditto always takes spot 1 or anything like that? or is it just parent 1 is the first pokemon i depositet and parent 2 is the second one?
