This is my first time trying to rng eggs, I rng'd my starter so Ive done that, but back to topic

Ive been trying to rng just a regular shiny feebas, with ditto. It seems like no matter what setting i use, what setting i pick, when I try to calibrate there are 0 results. This is my setup ive been using.

Here are some troubleshooting questions to help get to the bottom of this:

  • Is the lightning rod Pokemon in slot 1 of your party?
  • Does the daycare man say "The two seem to get along"?
  • Are both parents the same language?
  • Have you caught Latios/Latios yet? (just to be extra safe, checking the Pokedex should show if you don't recall)
  • Are you taking 9 steps before the timer goes off and any time you do get a call it's on the 10th step?
  • How many trainers does the game say are registered in the dex nav?
  • How many trainers are above Aroma Lady Rose in the DexNav?
  • Did you take out both parent Pokemon from the daycare before attempting this RNG? (Leaving the parents in the daycare too long will mess with things)

  1. Yes
  2. Yes
  3. Yes
  4. No, they're still waiting to be caught.
  5. Yes; And no, sometimes I get a call, sometimes I dont. When I got the expected call, it was not shiny and a different nature.
  6. 49
  7. 20
  8. Yes (Any time I make a new attempt I take them out before starting)

Hmm, it might be a PokeNav trainer issue.

Your screenshots of the site show 25 trainers from Aroma Lady Rose down. If there are 20 characters above Aroma Lady Rose, I'd expect there to be 45 total trainers. If there are 49, you might be missing 4 trainers.

Can you screenshot the PokeNav trainers in your game so we can double check what might be missing?

Yep, you're missing these four:

  • Andres
  • Tony
  • Dylan
  • Cory
#

You should start seeing calibration results after adding those four. 🙂

Yeah normally anytime I try with either 2 feebas or a ditto w/feebas when the egg hatches (if I get it) and calibrate towards it, no results show up

#

But ill see if I can run into anything new with these

So I did a new setup with the new calls I put in

#

I got my expected caller but when I hatched the egg..

Did you try calibrating? The same caller can be used for multiple eggs, so getting your expected caller doesn't guarantee the egg is your target egg. You still need to calibrate to see if there are other eggs you might have hit.

It's recommended to have as many pokenav trainers as possible for this reason. The more trainers you have registered, the more likely a call from your expected trainer is your target egg.

Hey guys just first of all just wanted to say thank you to Zak and the team for all the amazing work you're doing! Question though If I have:

A Modest Female Ralts
A Jolly Ditto holding Everstone

Is this the right configuration?

Glad you're liking it!

Ditto is treated as the female parent only if the other parent is male or genderless.

In your case the female parent is the Modest Ralts without an everstone.

You either need to:

  • Toggle off "Female has everstone" and set the "Female Nature" to Modest
  • Or use the Ditto with a male Ralts as the other parent

If you need more help, let's open a second thread. That'll help me keep track of these two issues separately 🙂
