Trying to RNG for shiny starter in platinum

I've got a save right next to the profs. bag, my TID/SID set in Pokefinder and some seeds I could go for - was wondering which frame/advance I should aim for to hit the shiny if I press A and then spam through the dialogue (I.E Frame 3 would be shiny - Assuming the initial seed starts at 0 when I boot the save)

also, you cant verify at this point that you hit your initial seed

you have to first evaluate with starters and do your calib

Is it easier to do on emu?

If there's a way to verify what seed I hit on emu ill do it there instead

on retail you have to check with nature and ivs

check with those which one did you hit and from there calib for your initial seed

then, you have to try several times to hit your target

iirc you advance reloading the area

unless, theres a gen 4 seed assistant around, yes

you can just +-1 your initial seed on hex

So subtract 1 from or add 1 to the hex value, search it and find which seed i hit based on the pokemon

and only go for a range

like +-20

Update - seem to be hitting advance/frame 4 every time - got it to where im just a few off the desired delay

(Thats when I mash A straight into the starter select and through all dialogue

Your target delay Is off 4? That means your inputs for your name are correct

Now if I were you, I will stay on that calibration and just do a manual add/substract on timer
