Having the 3000 carbon full-reset thing is nice and all, but it would be neat to have a way to take back specific skillpoints for a flat cost per skillpoint (lets say 30 carbon) rather than doing a full wipe. This would also refund all additional points in skills that need the original skill to be unlocked. The cost would be affected by all skillpoints it would require the removal of, meaning that people wouldn't be able to simply remove something early in the skill tree and pay only 30 carbon to refund a heck ton of skills.
For example, last stand requires 4 points in rally runner and mech veterancy requires 5 points in last stand.
Let's say I had 4 skill points in rally runner, 5 points in last stand, and 1 in mech veterancy. The total cost to refund a skill point from rally runner would be 210 carbon because I would be refunding 7 skill points in total (1 from rally runner, 5 from last stand, and 1 from mech veterancy) and 7 * 30 = 210.
If I had all of those points as well as an additional point in mech precision, then it'd cost 240 carbon because I'd be refunding 8 skill points.
However, if I had 5 skill points in rally runner, then I would only need to pay 30 carbon and would only be refunding 1 skill point because last stand only requires rally runner to have 4 points in it, not 5.
Naturally, the 30 carbon per point rate is just something I'm throwing out there because it's the first number that came to mind. I imagine different prices could work just fine, I just needed an example number to help explain myself.
I personally am interested in this idea because I like to try out different builds in the games I play and doing so would be a lot more enticing if I didn't have to pay 3000 carbon that might not be worth using to attempt it. Otherwise, I imagine it could be nice for people buying/trying out clothing with different perks who'd like to rearrange their skill points after getting new perks.
