i agree that absrad level of difficulty or maybe a bit easier would be fun and accessible
because i feel like accessibility is the most important factor in pale court (to me at least)

Hi! It's been a while since I last played a Randomizer run, but now that I'm trying again, no matter what I do my game freezes as soon as I try to start a new Randomized game. Here's all I know so far:

I already played Randomizer runs before, with the same mod (Randomizer 3.0, item & room randomizer). There were no issues around two months ago.
I have tried disabling every single mod that isn't related to the Randomizer, leaving only the Randomizer itself, ModCommon, SeanprCore, Vasi, WeaverCore, and finally the MoreSaves mod -- because I can't afford to erase one of my four main save slots.
I have kept using the ModInstaller to make sure that everything I have is up to date, but even after double checking that many times, my game keeps freezing no matter what I do.
What happens every time is that the game opens normally, I can select a slot to start a new game, the Randomizer menu appears normally and I can select/check/etc all options I want without any problem. However, the game freezes as soon as I click on the "start the game" button -- and when I say it freezes, I say there's the Windows error window that pops up and says "hollow_knight.exe is not responding, do you want to force close it?"

So... Does anyone know how this could be solved?

PS: Yes, I've been using the exact same PC back then and now. Somehow, the very same PC just stopped accepting to start a randomized game (it starts a regular game without any issues and I've even been able to play with other mods like Daughter of Hallownest). I still have yet to understand whether the issue comes from my computer or some kind of mod issue, but I'm completely stuck.

I temporarily went back to unmodded, which meant that the only mods I had for that moment were the ModCommon, Benchwarp and Randomizer, + the QoL because ModInstaller installed it without asking for my permission. When I closed the game and restarted ModInstaller after that, it downloaded Vasi without asking for my permission either.

I had an idea earlier when thinking about Hollow Knight skins and the multiplayer mod, with Ghost already in the game and now an awesome Hornet skin (thank you Poppy) if someone were to create a mini Quirrel skin and then a skin for a 4th player (Zote or Tiso, maybe Cloth, idk) that would be an awesome looking multiplayer party

Looks like the issue is a bit more complex and I may have to try out your configuration when I get home. Another thing you can try is only having WeaverCore and IKG installed and see if that works. That would show that there’s a mod conflict somewhere

The challenge won’t be over per say, it’s not an event, it was, but then they made it constantly active, so there’s no set date to complete it by, just do it to get the skin

I’m glad you guys like the concept ^^ . However as I said before I’m not experienced in making skins, I know it involves editing spritesheets, which I’m happy to do. I would just need someone willing to do the modding work and to send me the sprite sheets.

sometimes CustomKnight does that when switching skins. if restarting the game and choosing PV/THK doesn't fix it, just put the Default geo file in the PV/THK folder and it should be fix
