Hear ye hear ye, hearken unto my tale of woe. Had a nice randomizer run going, good seed, new stuff to do, was practicing shade skips and went into Beast's Den (had wings+dash). Got up the chimney but the 2nd one needs at least 3 pogo from the spider, and I had upgraded my nail. Dumb rookie move, I know, but I'm a beginner in rando. Impossibru it was then. Oh well.
So, next run was going also fine (finished the last one) and I went to Beast's Den with wings+dash again, wizened up! This time I had nail 0! I shade skipped up the chimney and got up from the spider and the 2nd spider and was ecstatic! I had done it! Now to grab the bench to... oh, I can't get back up there once the bench was taken, ever again (before claw). Heartbreak.
So anyway, not sure if this channel takes randomizer ideas/feedback, but I feel if possible making the bench there so that it always 'ports you to the start of the Beast's Den (trap) bit. That way you could go get the checks even if you're as dumb as me π Also, not skipping that animation when so many others are skipped feels weird to me.

beast's den trap bench ports you to the trap, but it only does it once and going through it is one-directional and you can do it only once

At about the time I unpaushed she went to the climb so that might have triggered it

I FINALLY DID SPORGZ POGO SKIP. It was the first skip I saw back when I started playing 18 months ago or so, never got to actually do it because it was patched out :/ Then it just felt like a bother. Now it was necessary for area randomizer and I pulled it off!
So THANK YOU to randomizer devs, that was maybe my #1 feeling of success in the game.

So a friend and I have been making a fangame (standalone, pretty big) of HK and we should be done in a year or so. We have been working on it just because we wanted to create our own interpretation of parts of the story that are not shown (the game is about zote, in fact). Our intention is to publish it to the community but we use a lot of assets from HK and they are obviously not ours. Has someone tried something like this? What is the stand of team cherry about people making fangames/using their assets for big mods? Obviously the game would be completely free, we just want to share this little creation we did inspired on HK

Afaik you need to talk to TC themselves. I have no idea what rules they have set on using their copyrighted assets. It could be that you can use their assets as long as you don't make any money, or it could all be off limits. I've never seen it addressed, but I'll look into it

Ik we just argued in #hk-discussion But the Randomizer mod is a pretty fun one after you've seen all that the game has to offer
It randomizes rooms, enemies, items, and even all at once
You can choose individually btw
That does mean that you can get the Final Boss as the first enemy, but hey, it's part of the experience.
If you think that doesn't sound like fun, I don't really know any others, sorry.

you get like 33 soul every minute passively
