if you would like some unwarranted advice, what I did was kinda followed fireb0rn's hollow knight in 5 hours guide, then fucked off to get extra upgrades I needed (shade dash, upgraded spells, pure nail, etc) and most of the charms. then, i went back and defeated the hollow knight
