Funny part is I had gt boost on performance mode and yet the fps didn't increase.

Before that nerf, one boss in each act had a 3 Mask damage attack. Last Judge's final explosion, GMS's web, and Lost Lace's...orb slash thing. Now it's just GMS and Lace in Acts 2 and 3. I said when this patch dropped that Phantom should have a 3 Mask damage attack to balance the scales again and so all of the Silky family matches, perhaps the steam slam, but I do understand if that would be too harsh.

Like games with good stories tend to have bad exploration because giving the freedom to explore goes against giving a good story

Games that focus on combat tend to have mid platforming because you can only give that many abilities and you can’t really have your combat abilities also be used for platforming

especially Xrd where the "universal parry" move isn't really a parry at all but an offensive shield attack that you can parry back with your OWN and theres a lot of mindgames involved. its called Blitz Shield

there was this one FGC streamer i follow and watch from time to time (with their podcast) and one thing he mentioned about Skong is that he really missed is that emphasis on positioning and movement as your main defense, which is something he finds a lot of games are starting to shift away in a way or is currently kinda rare

i dont play that much action adventure of platformers but i do think from ive seen on most 2d games, they do lend themselves a dodge roll or a parry, WHICH ARENT BAD dont get me wrong, but it is something i appreciate that was deemphasized in HK and Silksong

Ender lilies is a good game, but technically it really unpolished on a lot of places

Tunic is peak though, like yeah that game rocks, though not really for its quality as metroidvania

lore, music, atmosphere, and the things people complain about are really minimal. The stilkin only appear in a VERY select few rooms, and you can run past before most can even hit you. The only completely valid complaint about Bilewater is the Groal runback but it's not the end-all-be-all.
