Yes. When someone on their first playthrough fights Vordt, they probably have only 1 or 2 hours in the game, and haven’t done anything to strengthen themselves. By the time they reach Untended Graves, they’re much more experienced. Besides, most of Champ’s moveset is copied whole cloth from phase 1 of Iudex.

Team Cherry is setting a horrible precedent for indie games.
Discussion/Questions

Silksong will be an amazing game and will sell very well when it comes out because of its fan base but that also shows other developers that communication with your community is optional. After all, "team cherry didn't speak with their community for years and still released a successful game so why can't we do the same".

While I am on the side of letting TC take their time and make the game as good as can be, communication with fanbases and/or supporters/backers should be mandatory, even if it's not news that's directly related to the game. A simple "we're working on it" every now and then would do but this complete unending silence TC has is unacceptable.

its more forgiving than a genuine permadeath mode, mostly because its easier to die in dead space i'd imagine. there are frequent moments in the game where a tiny mistake costs you your life, like a mistimed QTE, or more harshly, a section in which you must perform eye surgery on yourself, and if your laser thing hits outside of your retina for too long, you die. take this with a grain of salt because i have not played dead space 2, and i dont plan to on that difficulty
