Port forwarding isn’t as safe with internet strangers, but hamachi is. If you use port forwarding, only the host needs to do it, while both people would need hamachi. Each way has downsides

but yeah youre not supposed to heal normally again, you do it by damaging enemies, filling up your bar, then you constantly heal while the bar is full

so its simplified to "keep shooting" instead of "keep shooting but find a healing window if you can"

Everything suggests that there is a way to install the modinstaller/mods that work with it on a Mac system, but I can never find a tutorial and trying to force the installer to work through Wine just pops errors.
