Aye im not 100% sure if this counts as modding, but its about save files so i thought it fits here. If you were to start a steel soul run, couldn't you copy the safe file and save it somewhere. And once you die, just put the save file back into your saves. Is there something that prevents this or could you just get infinite attempts?

Does anyone know why benchwarp mod is preventing my THK room from loading properly? Every time I get to that battle, it either fails to load entirely, or it’s a black screen with just audio (and I can hear myself getting murdered). If I disable benchwarp it loads just fine.

if i were to start a steel soul save, and then copy my save file and store it somewhere. If i die, couldnt i just put that save file back into the save directory, and have infinite attempts at what is supposed to be a 1 chance gamemode?

okay, so after having this problem for quite a bit of time now, i've done a bit of testing at school today, and i figured out that i cannot access the Hollow Knight battle when mods are enabled
every single time i do, the game will either:

play on as usual, but the entire screen is just black, hence only the audio is heard (you can still move i think, could tell by the noise)
the screen will stay on the loading screen (the one with the little Knight running in the bottom right corner) and stay that way forever
after having to uninstall and reinstall HK twice (i think it's the only way to truly get rid of the mods until you reinstall the modding API and everything), i was surprised when, with no mods installed yet, the HK battle was accessible with no problems at all
so yeah, i think i'll just stick with vanilla HK for the time being. unless someone can tell me the solution to this problem?

Any time I try to play with mods enabled, I am unable to load any of my saves. The save screen looks like the image I'll send after the other info. If I disable all mods through the mod installer, it works normally. Even having all mods uninstalled results in this problem, only reverting back to unmodded fixes it. I have tried resetting the mod installer using the method in the pinned message and reinstalling the game, but neither have worked.

I run on Windows 10, and bought hollow knight on steam.

@compact field I'm not certain but that might be a feature of debug mod? I don't have a lot of experience with that mod though, so I'm not sure.

@twilit hollow I'm not really able to give advice myself but if you scroll up just a bit it looks like some other people had the same problem as you. Someone else provided a solution you could try.

Im not a mod expert, but it might be because debug isn’t compatible with point. I haven’t used point but I have used debug since I play randomizer quite a bit

Does anyone know common reasons why I wouldn't be able to see my friend in multiplayer mod? I'm connected to myself, running both client and server, and they're running only the client, and should be connecting to me, but we can't see each other and my modlog.txt is full of

In either case there should be a way to tell it to download or run anyways, often by clicking on a prompt for more info.
