So i have an issue with the enemy randomizer. it isnt the percentage one. basically, if i ever quit the game and then launch it again, if i dont load the randomizer, nothing randomizes, but if i load the randomizer to play a file again the world just becomes corrupted it seems. i didnt see anything about this so i figured id ask here if anyone knows why this is happening

enemy randomizer is notoriously bad. just close the save and reopen it. it has a tendency to load 2 rooms at once

so i used to be able to get teh enemy randomizer to work about a year ago, and i wanted to go back and try it again but this time with the map randomizer, but for some reason it keeps crashing at 88% loaded. is there like a clash of mods going on here? im using the ranomizer 3, and the enemy randomizer straight from the mod manager, as well as the bench warp mod. these are the only three that are active.

Hi, folks. I recently downloaded the ModInstaller and downloaded Randomizer 3, Seanpr Core, Benchwrap, and Enemy Randomizer. Now my problem is that I can't move when the game starts. I can load up the Enemy Randomizer and click what items and such that I want for the game to be, but once I start it, the Knight just sits there idle and I can only look up and down. I am playing on PC and using an Xbox One controller. Please assist me. 🙂

I noticed that when I downloaded Randomizer 3, it said that it also installed Seanpr Code and Benchwrap. I still went ahead and clicked Install on those two mods after they were seemingly installed already. Would that effect this at all?

Question regarding the hollow point mod:
I've seen several other people have trouble switching between the nail and the gun, and the problem always seems to be that they're pressing quick cast instead of focus. However, I'm tapping focus, like the readme said, and it doesn't seem to work. I'm wondering if this is a larger issue with the mod itself, or if I'm really just doing something wrong. Thoughts?

Hello there, I've just installed modding api, it's detected by the game (I can see it in upper left corner). But my controller is not working anymore, keyboard works btw. I've tried modding api universal version, linux/mac version and unstable version, but still not working. Controller is working fine in the game without modding api. Using 1.4.3.2 game version, playing on Steam Linux, XBox360 controller. Any help welcome, thanks.

And I built the last one for Linux I'm pretty sure so that should work but if it doesn't there's also an issue with controllers just not working with the api

you can't disable saves in HK. disabling and enabling mods does nothing to save files (usually)

#

there's always a chance it could mess things up though

#

so just copy/paste the saves you want to keep safe

yeah, thats happened to me a lot on my skyrim vr runs haha. Fairly new to mods and I'd hatee to accidentally lose my save of hollow knight by disabling a mod haha

HK doesn't touch a save file unless you open it

#

so even with mods enabled, nothing in the save will change unless you load it in-game

my next question is if i spawn in all the charms with debug mode can i choose what level of grimmchild i get? The point of my 'new game+' playthrough i want to test is going through the game with every charm. Just beat nightmare grimm king for the 1st time yesterday. Would be sad if i don't start a new game with grimmchild 4 haha

use the newest patch intead of 1315

yes. grimmchild charm is a number you can select

from like 1 to 5 or something

and one of those is the banish version of the charm

im looking through the read me and it's mentioning a charm called CHeart. what is that charm? I'm not recognizing the name abbreviation in the list. All the heart charms i see are fragile heart, unbreakable heart, viod heart, and lifeblood heart

oh, that reminds me. I was using nexusmods/vortex for modding in this game previously. Should I get rid of conflicting mods from there? I believe the only mod i was using was to reduce charm cost.
