Hi! I'm new to the modding of HK and I'd have a question regarding the custom knight mod. After installing it with the modinstaller and after downloading the desired folder of the sprites (e.g. pure vessel), what do I have ti do?
Do I have to put all the folder inside the custom knight folder?
Do I have to replace the images present in the custom knight folder with the images of pure vessel?
Nothing seems to work at the moment... I have also enabled lightbringer mod, do the two of them stack?

Hi I'm looking for a way to do quicksaves, or save in any location, not just benches. So if I'm going into a boss fight and die I can reload right before the fight instead of having to walk from the bench again. What does the "RandoMap" and "Randomizer 2" mods do? Both have no readme so i have no clue

@graceful dome RandoMap: I think it randomizes the location of every room in game, so you could exit from King's pass and appear in Queen's Garden, for example.
Randomizer 2: Changes the enemies and items of the game for any other (including bosses and spells/skills). You can customize it.
Randomizer 3 is a thing, so you should install that instead of Randomizer 2.

So, I found a glitch in the randomiser. I got Grimmchild and immediately went into Grimm's tent since it appeared, but when I was inside Grimmchild didn't spawn, and when Grimm tried to start the battle he got stuck with his cloak open waiting for the non-existant Grimmchild to fly over to him.

Quick note for mac users, with the Catelina update Hollow Knight will still run (on my macbook air it works as normal) but the modinstaller won't open anymore. Keep that in mind!

You could either manually do it with UABE (last pin in #archived-modding-development ) or mod it in.
Overall modding it is the better and easier option but you have to learn how to mod the game.
If you do choose to mod, I recommend looking at Custom Knight as an example

I got the ModdingAPI to compile locally for linux. I have a few changes in my fork https://github.com/alexriedl/HollowKnight.Modding/tree/linux-support. I added to the readme to explain how to run msbuild.
In case it comes up, I have mono 6.4 installed locally
