it was gonna use reflection and automatically report if the mod was missing or not and be built in a way that it would work even if modnames changed by just searching for variable names

Basically how I wanted it to work is. here's an arbitrary example. a mod that makes you super slow. Without other mods installed it would work perfectly but what if you installed this mod and blackmoth at the same time. Blackmoth wouldn't know about its existence. So what if instead the mod could do this:

send_message("DASH_SPEED" 0.5);

and then a dashing mod like blackmoth could check for the variable
DASH_SPEED with:
get_message("DASH_SPEED") and then make dashing only go at 0.5 times speed.

that was the motivation for creating it

Hi, I'm new here. I've been having some issues with the mod installers. I had Crossroads before, but then it kind of glitched out on me every now and then. Then I watched Relyea's video on modding where he used ModInstaller. The first time I loaded ModInstaller, it worked fine and I was able to add mods. But when I opened HK, it didn't have any of the mods installed. When I tried to use ModInstaller again, it couldn't find my HK installation folder, and it's been that way ever since. My HK game loads fine (it's the latest version, 1.4.2.4 I believe), but both mod installing programs aren't functioning.

Now when I open ModInstaller, it tells me that it can't find HK at all, and to "install the game and try again", even though I already have the game. And Crossroads loads with an error message saying "error loading modlink files. There is an error in XML document (3,2)."

Oh there's one more thing that slipped my mind! As soon as I installed mods, my option to turn Fullscreen mode off has been disabled. Anytime i hover over the option, it won't let me select it. It locks out any other method of minimizing or moving the tab, It's either opened or closed. I tried Reinstalling HK and nothing changed. It's annoying but it's not the end of the world
