well recently my streaming software hasn't been able to recognize the game's video. i tested other games and they work fine so the problem is definitely related to hollow knight somehow

this seems like an issue with the windows compositor

you could try disabling that

it's kinda hard to find

if you type appearance into the start menu

there's a thing that says adjust windows for appearance and performance

and one of the options is desktop compositing

(aka the only option that ACTUALLY affects performance)

(the others just make stuff uglier without making anything faster)

I'm trying to set up the debug mod. I've got the modding api downloaded and put the contents of the debug mode zip into the hk folder but its still not working. I also tried putting the contents of the debug mode zip straight into the mods folder with no luck. I'm on 1221 if that helps.

Hello, I have returned unsuccessfully. Still can't get Geo to be applied when looking at the Bonfire menu. I did have a look at my ModLog.txt. And the Entire page looks like this: [INFO]:[BonfireMod] - Checking inventory open

So I ended up resetting my windows, got my achievements back.

"achievements missing" "achievements gone" "achievements disappeared" Don't pirate the game, that is the reason this issue is caused but I'm glad you bought it. If you end up getting this issue I reset my windows to fix it, I tried deleting all three directories, (LocalLow, Registry, Steam) this did not work. If you are having this problem I have no idea how to fix but in my case I reset my windows.

question about the lightbringer mod (correct channel to ask??):
It says you get one extra charm notch in the beginning, but does that mean the total stays the same or should i have one extra charm notch in the end of the game?

I believe the original has 11 notches.. if lightbringer has an extra it would be 12 correct? i seem to be missing that notch if so D:

Yeah that's what I got...if the problem is anywhere I went to the local files and had to copy it to a new folder before I could get it to work. I can't really check the game on but next time I see I'll make sure it's the correct patch but I don't remember seeing a patch number

i fixed it. i just retraced the border with a clipping mask and its good now. it just isnt visible normally but popped out with the overlays in game

You can use the installer
To run the installer:

Open the Terminal
Type cd dirname $(
Drag the exe onto the terminal.
Type ) then hit Return/Enter
Type mono --arch=32 (Note the space at the end)

If this fails with bash: mono: command not found then

install mono here
Open a new terminal window

Yes, mods can be installed on a mac.
You can use the installer
To run the installer:

Open the Terminal
Type cd dirname $(
Drag the exe onto the terminal.
Type ) then hit Return/Enter
Type mono --arch=32 (Note the space at the end)
Drag the exe onto the terminal and then hit Return/Enter

If this fails with bash: mono: command not found then

install mono here
Open a new terminal window
Type/paste in export PATH=/usr/local/bin:${PATH} and hit Return/Enter
Repeat steps 2-6 above.
