if you don't care about spoilers at all, ||nail arts are quite useful for one shotting specific (usually flying) enemies with max upgrades||, although from what i've heard this is harder to execute on controller due to weird mapping where attack and jump require the same finger by default

ok so damage numbers: ||great/dash slash deal 2.5x your base nail damage. with max upgraded nail, that's 21x2.5 = 52.5 -> rounds to 52. If missing one upgrade, it's 17x2.5 = 42.5 -> 42. Primal Aspids and Soul Twisters have 35 HP, and Armored Squits and Furious Vengeflies have 40 HP. If you want to get some damage in, jump over the 1st bat and shadow dash through the 3rd one. With Quick Slash, you should be able to get 2-3 hits onto him. Occasionally, if you get too close to him while doing the bats attack, he teleports away and sends 2 bats simultaneously, one high and one low. Not much to say here other than to jump over the low one or shadow dash through.||

An example for a fitting build would be shaman stone, twister, weaversong, grubsong, quick focus. Other charms like dream wielder, soul eater or stalwart shell are good as well||
