They can be weaved into a lot of boss fights but generally they suffer due to not benefitting from the ||strength charm||. in ||nail binding|| there is 40% reduction in nail damage so if we use ||strength charm|| the 40% will be from the ||31|| damage that ||strength|| gives or it will be from ||21|| max nail damage without any charm, if its the 2nd one, the ||strength|| charm will add 50% of the 21 damage or the 13 damage that is done after reduction

I practiced him ||charmless|| in ||HoG|| until I could beat him ||radiant|| a little under half the time. In ||p5|| I use ||abyss shriek|| on the ||zotelings|| when it's convenient, and I use ||ddark|| when he gets close during the ||volatile zotelings||. I also did a couple of runs through ||P3AB|| to practice ||Zote|| specifically

Oh I misread. For ||P3AB|| it's really pretty similar to standard ||Zote||. I try to ignore the jumping ||zotelings|| and target the ||flying ones|| which are more aggressive

It helps a lot to hit the ||volatile zotelings|| twice to gain some ||soul|| and make some space for yourself. The move that took me the longest to learn was his ||ground-pound fakeout||. A lot of people like to ||dash twice|| but I found it more consistent to try to wait for the last moment and ||dash||, to preserve the ||shade cloak||

iirc most of the attacks weren't that bad for itemless when i was doing some simple tests with ||pure nail||, just the ||zotelings will become a problem with old nail||

as a trivia note for itemless ||white defender|| that i discovered, you can ||fit between the shit walls after the beach ball form, meaning you don't technically need wings or shade cloak to radiant it reliably (unless another attack becomes an issue)||

Nice. My strategy for him is weird probably (it changed when moving to ||p5||). Whenever there's only ||one|| enemy behind the ||Collector|| I use ||nail arts|| or normal swings instead of ||shade soul||. That often lets me hit ||Collector|| with a ||shriek||, which can ||stun|| him sometimes, letting me get another ||dream nail and shriek|| for massive damage. I mostly use ||great slash|| on the minions.

For ||Collector||, the reason I switched to ||Great Slash|| was so that I could practice ||ascended collector in HoG|| in a way that's practically identical to the fight in ||P5||, besides having excess ||soul|| storage. Although using mods to practice is probably more efficient.
