||quick slash is pretty useless in the colosseum. The enemies usually don't take a lot of hits so the increased attack speed doesn't change too much. The enemies also move around a lot which makes consecutively hitting them a lot harder making qslash worse. And also it doesn't affect nail arts which generally should be most of your nail attacks||

I guess it could be considered a bug basically they just go away whenever you touch them even if you're invincible when you touch them

With shaman stone getting double-hit shade souls or shrieks can easily kill him but you can also finish the fight with narts if you don’t do enough spell damage. Id suggest practicing the Strat a lot in HoG and you can maybe try to choose one or two platforms to stick to to make dodging slightly easier||
