You really should learn to squeeze a few in on most bosses. They do massive damage. For instance, ||Pure Nail with Unbreakable Strength does 32 damage per hit, but an Abyss Shriek with Shaman Stone does 120 if all 4 ticks hit||

Use charms that enhance your spells, help with healing or improve your nailarts. I would suggest slotting in ||shaman stone instead of the remaining notches though, howling wraith can let you deal great damage, especially since, like all spells, it can hit them while they are rolling||

||Dive|| is very useful in that fight as it can hit both ||knights, and will give you some invincibility frames that you can use to dodge attacks if you find yourself in a very perilous situation
Additionally you should be conservative of your soul, healing in the fight is pretty hard, you can quite easily get one heal in after you kill a knight (just wait for the other to attack, dodge and heal) but when the two are alive it is quite risky
Also never try to heal twice, it will not work||

Having two game installs ? I think to do that you would want to copy the entire game file onto a separate folder, than add a "new game" to your steam library, and have that game being your copy of the game files (that way you have a copy on whatever patch you want, and your main game on another)

Well hum… you should really just get used to the controls, try to be careful with when you try to ||heal, you should always make sure you are in a safe place before healing
Pogoing (slashing downward in the air) on top of enemies can be a relatively safe way to deal with most enemies which only have attacks to hit grounded targets||

If you want directions, try to head left and down, not sure how much that will help

Also a general tip for later because a lot of new players get this bad habit, ||dont just go spamming your attack, try to lesrn the patterns of whatever enemy youre fighting, and hit like only once or twice then dodge away to prevent getting hit||
