Nonsenf says you can heal on any attack which imo is false, the only places to heal imo is ||bats, jump over the first set and then heal. And immediately after a pufferfish||

you can heal on every attack. The easiest are ||when he summons the flame pillars. Slowly walk across the arena and after the fourth one starts to spawn immediately start to heal. You can heal on the firebats by jumping over the first one on the ground and then start healing. The second lower bat will fly over your head. You can also heal on the spikes that he summons from the ground if you are quick. The rest is a bit more tricky so I would stick to these. Also of course when he's staggered||

||Hornet 2 strategy by DDX2000#6811
Hornet 2 is a unique fight for a few reasons. The immediately obvious one being the small arena, and the fact she takes knockback.
What isn’t special about Hornet, is how her attacks are influenced by the players positioning. You aren’t supposed to just evade her movement, you are also meant to control her movement and gain an upper hand.

Getting/keeping the upper hand against Hornet 2:
-First things first. Hornet chases you; and has very little arena control (outside of her spikes. That’s why they’re the move TC added) Take advantage of this by taking control of the center of the arena.
you have no advantage when backed into a corner - save for a quick heal or dodge.
__you have every advantage when she’s in a corner. The best she can do is dash out of it, in which you’ll force her to dash through your attacks. The worst she could do is any other move, especially ones that have no horizontal movement.
Hit her against the wall to limit her options.
Spikes, we just talked about these - her primary form of arena control. Spells will clear most/all of these, and they’ll hurt her too.
Staggers: yes, you could heal, but understand that Hornet staggers based on hits- not hp. If you’re more than half Hp, I’d recommend using a spell or at least a few nail hits on her stagger.
Jump dash: dash under her or make her do it into a corner.
String explosion: Don’t get caught by it, stand under her and prepare to punish her insolence.
Needle throw: this is good for you. If she’s backed into a wall when she does it- you can heal at the other end of the arena for free, or slap her in the face while she stands still.

Generally speaking, learn to recognize what attacks she’s about to line up next, and don’t let her catch you with a walking animation because you didn’t pay attention.||

Parry: PV brings up its nail in a defensive stance to block any incoming attack. If PV blocks any attack it will slash in the direction it is facing. The Knight should not attack PV during this and should instead heal or reposition themselves for the next attack if need be. It is possible to use Descending Dark here as the second explosion will damage PV. If the Knight by mistake hits PV’s nail during this move they should immediately use Desolate Dive/Descending Dark or Shade Cloak to pass through PV; The Knight does not have time and/or the distance required to turn around and dash away from PV if its nail is hit.||

Focus: PV will focus, similar to the Knight when healing; unlike the Knight however PV will surround itself in a big circular area that after a short delay explodes. Shortly after, six smaller circles will appear randomly across the arena which, after a small amount of time, explodes in the order they were created. PV will only start using this attack as when it reaches ⅔ of its max hp. This attack can be easily countered by dashing out of the main circle or by using a well timed Desolate Dive/Descending Dark which will also damage PV. After the main circle has exploded the Knight should make sure to clear any smaller circle they may be located inside of and proceed to use up to 3 Vengeful Spirits/Shade Souls if they have the required SOUL to do so.||

do not use ||thorns||
reason being it increases the amount of time you stay in the "ouch ive been hit" animation, meaning you get less invincibility and time to deal damage. this means that the charm actually reduces your stats and is in no scenario positive

yes you did a tiny skip. Usually you are supposed to have them at that point but there is a small skip that you likely did without noticing to get there without them

and you never thought it might not be the legit solution Anyways you can do it but it might get difficult. ||You don't have a lot of good charms and also your nail isn't great but just try it out a bit and if it seems too difficult just come back later||

you are using pretty good stuff already. For bosses ||that take knockback like hornet steady body is also a great option. It will feel weird at first but you'll get used to it. If you don't like it though that's fine. Quick focus can also help you a lot so I'd use that. Focus on spells since you don't have a lot of nail charms and that should be good. So I would go with shaman, qfocus, sbody and grubsong or catcher/twister for the last two notches||

If you madr it there, your too far down, go back to the closest room in ||greenpath||, you should be able to go up one room and left a bunch to the next part, which you should explore yourself

||use nail arts a lot for both first and second phase. Don't use spells at all in the first phase and then spam shade soul in second phase. Wait for a good opportunity so you get a lot of double hits with them. For charms I would focus on a more spell based build with glory so something like glory, shaman, twister, eater, grubsong for ascended to not overcharm and glory, shaman, catcher, twister, heavy blow, overcham with eater for radiant is what I would use. For the ascended build you can also use something else instead of eater like heavy blow and unn or something||
