Yes, mods can be installed on a mac.
You can use the installer
To run the installer:

  1. Open the Terminal
  2. Type cd $(dirname
  3. Drag the exe onto the terminal.
  4. Type ) then hit Return/Enter
  5. Type mono --arch=32 (Note the space at the end)
  6. Drag the exe onto the terminal and then hit Return/Enter

If this fails with bash: mono: command not found then

  1. install mono here
  2. Open a new terminal window
  3. Type/paste in export PATH=/usr/local/bin:${PATH} and hit Return/Enter
  4. Repeat steps 2-6 above.
