the On. hooks are special

basically, the API replaces every single method in the assembly with an event which calls the original method

that's why when using an On. hook you need to call orig if you want to run the vanilla code as well

The methods aren't replaced at patch time but when you invoke the add of the hook it detours the method to your hooked method which can trampoline back to the original with an orig call

You can use IL hooks if you want to directly change method IL instead of attaching your own methods

If I theoretically wanted to make a dress up mod for HK, with a shop for Hornet and new dialogue/purchasing options, how difficult would that be on the scripting side?

It would definitely be pretty intense on the asset side of things, but I was just curious since I thought it might be fun!

I'm picturing like 3 new outfits that you can switch between at the shop once you've purchased them. I would it be too difficult to have a script running that selects a different character prefab with the other asset sheets depending on which is being worn?

I know a bit about unity but not too much about scripting/what HK looks like internally

I'm trying to make a Radiance sprite and music edit sort of like Veru's Comrade mod. I found the sprites for Radiance online in a sprite dump, but I'm not sure how to actually put those sprites into the game.

I have UABE, and I've found where the assets are stored, but there seems to be less than in the sprite dump I found earlier. Specifically, atlas0_261 and atlas1_2 seem to be missing.

There's just a bunch of "atlas0"s and "atlas0 material"s, and none of them have the Path ID that matches the suffix of the sprite files I found.
