So the editor has been updated and I'm going to release the code for the mod once I get the hardcoded paths removed and the dependencies sorted out... Anyway here are the two files you need, WorldLoader.dll goes in the mods folder obviously and AssetsTools.NET.dll goes into the Managed folder. Put scenes into HKWEDiffs which is in the Hollow Knight folder.
