Godmaster is a ridiculous jump in difficulty compared to what the game had before. I had my game at 107% and beat the Path of Pain (it took me 4 hours and I found the last part excessive), but the Pantheons are too much of a slog.
I'm currently also stuck at the third; trained against Sly in the Hall of Gods until I was able to beat him consistently, then tried again: died the first time against Uumuu and the second against fucking Hornet - who had never killed me in the game up to that point. I am simply not compelled to keep trying, it's too boring having to repeat a bunch of easy fights every time until I finally beat the last boss, open a new pantheon, repeat the same thing again, and then again (only this time 5x harder and longer), to be able to fight the true last boss and see the new ending.
Not to mention the small new location that only unlocks if you beat the last pantheon with all bindings...
I don't even care about the completion itself, but it boggles my mind that they would gate new content behind such an absurd challenge, that the vast majority of their player base will never complete. Why not put these (or even harder) challenges in Godmode and have more reasonable pantheons in the main game, something like 8-10 bosses per pantheon with respawn at the benches?
The "well don't play it then" response also annoys me a lot, because I love the game and up to this point I was able to complete everything that mattered to me, and now I had to see most of the new content via Youtube. If the game was this hard from the start I wouldn't be complaining (and would've probably never played it in the first place), but this change in direction just sucks and makes me worried about the Hornet DLC.
