Blackmoth is way harder than i thought it would be
also, how the hell are you supposed to fight bosses like Traitor lord and Soul Master? they have a giant hitbox and there is no way you can pass through it without getting hit
that's weird... It didn't use to behave like that in earlier versions
if you dashed through an enemy and ended up inside them, well, too bad
but Traitor Lord and Soul Master's hitboxes are too big to dash through without getting hit

Hello everyone. new to this community but not the game. Opted into beta to check out new stuff, lifeblood was fine but the most recent patch I guess broke the 21:9 mod I was using http://www.wsgf.org/dr/hollow-knight/en. Basically was not letting me select a 21:9 res and was black bar-ring the top and bottom anyway. Any fix, or revert out of beta for now?

about to try. Already reverted the hex values and that at least allowed unbroken 16:9
and yes, steam if that matters (light modder, only ever do 21:9 mods)
probably an issue with new unity
they updated the unity version, might have affected the way the renderer works

okay, added an invulnerability timer at the end of dashes, to prevent getting softlocked

2s seems a bit too much
also, I have no idea why I can't dash through some enemies now
even if their hitboxes were larger than dash distance, before beta you'd just end up inside them and get rekt
but now the game basically treats some enemies as walls

the enemies might have some sort of onplayer collision check
Shade cloak goes through the "solid" enemies in base game
So probably the best idea is to figure out how that happens

In debug mod I just track position completely separate from the actual hero position for noclip
And update the hero to that position constantly

you can use this hook to manually change the damage and type of every attack at the moment the attack begins
so it fixes the issue with spells we were having earlier
not only damage and type, but those are what I use it for
you can change damage, type, direction, multipliers etc.
