first thing: ascended markoth and p5 markoth aren't the same thing, asc does double damage and has more hp, p5 does 1 mask and has attuned hp
second (actual tips):
spam nail arts in phase 1, mainly great slash and dash slash, when the nail art is charging keep your distance, when it's ready to be used close in the gap and try to find an opening
phase 2: spam shade soul. If your shade soul doesn't double hit you're either too close or markoth is against a plat or a wall. if you run out of soul go back to nail arts until you have enough soul for another shade soul
