But idk with downdashing, since pogo into dash isn't as predominant as it is in hk

The problem is, when pogoing you hold down, so when you want to just dash while you want to keep pogoing, you'd naturally just keep holding down

But suddenly you apply Dashmaster and now down and dash downdashes, so you have to release down and hold again, which is an added layer of awareness and almost everyone got frustrated

If you want to go back to it QoL has a setting to bring old Dashmaster

Or alternative just downpatch, I'm pretty sure 1.4 has it
