because there are times where you can guarantee that he’s gonna teleport and others where it’s very likely, you can maximize damage by fireballing from his far side through him and praying for a double hit

It looks like you're using the hazard respawn button to go back to the platform, but because you have control right as you respawn you can move straight away. But the trigger to give you control back at the time you normally would after have after respawning is still on the stack, so you get control during the vs

ive used an xbox controller (wired), switch 1 controller, and ps5 controller (new) and they all failed me by not reading my inputs quick enough....

I would recommend joining the speedrunning server and getting help there to install debug mod. With that you can turn on hitboxes to get a better idea of where you're aiming, also there's guides and examples of how to this trick there

you don't necessarily need to do QGA, the only one that is mandatory is from crossroads to fog canyon, you can go through fungal wastes and drop in deepnest near the moss prophet

I have a little speedrunning route question, not sure how much i have to spoiler block for ss so i'll try to be safe with it
so basically on the any% route, they go through ||left side choral chambers|| to get to ||cogwork dancers||, and then take the route ||through cogwork to vaults then trobbio||, to get ||to clawline||. I was wondering if ||it's actually faster to go through songclave to get the white key (i think it spawns if you don't rescue jubiliana, not sure) and then go through whiteward to drop straight into underworks||. this would skip ||cogworks parkour, vaults entry gauntlet, and trobbio||. this might also make going through ||mist and phantom the optimal route, because you wouldn't need to backtrack from cogworks to songclave. (not sure)|| this all relies on if ||the white key spawns when you first enter songclave, which i am not sure about.||

hey guys, i'm trying to set up livesplit for a PoP speedrun and the last split that should end the timer doesn't work.

i think it's because i'm using QoL and playing on the same file and the last split detects equiring the Seal of binding entry, and since you can't get it after playing again, it doesn't register as completing it

it IS because you are playing on QoL. the leaderboard-approved method for restarting pop is minisavestates. if you join the speedrun server (pinned), navigate to hk-il-movement, and find the pins there, you'll find everything you need to set pop

as soon as you shriek press down so that when you use your nail it will be a pogo, then wings as soon as you get control (just practice with infinite soul to get the timing) and pogo right after, use mark of pride to get more consistent, there's no real thing to it other than doing it a lot, and when you get it consistently, try to use your pogo the latest possible (6 frames i think) so that you get more height
