Whenever a octoo clams a water ruin the center detaches from the limbs as it rises up
I don’t know if this is just beta or in the main game as I don’t have the forgotten skin in the main game

The tentacles are a condition(<-?) of the tile, like roads or flooding, as such it is technically part of the tile and this rises with it.

Haha, that's a funny side effect of how it is implemented.
I would say that it is intended. But unfortunate how those two effects mix.
