So, you could upgrade the printer using new buildings that attach to it. For example, a scanning machine that allows you to duplicate a duplicant you already have, or an attachment that gives you an extra blueprint, and maybe one that reduces the time the printer needs from 3 to 2 cycles. All of the buildings would be made of mid game material's, and use lots of power
