Miles meets his Earth 42 form, where he’s the Prowler and his dad is dead.
Miles breaks free of the chain around him and the punching bag and starts to run, meanwhile the Prowler chases him around the city until he catches Miles and threatens to kill him unless he tells Prowler what universe he’s from.
But then, Gwen’s strike team comes in and defeats Prowler and grabs Miles, but before they leave, a knocked down Prowler scans Gwen’s watch and downloads a blueprint to make one of his own.

The team goes to meet with Miguel, but Miles is reluctant, still wanting to try and save his father. After Gwen tells him she has a plan, Miles follows them to go to Nueva York after he gets back his day pass. Peni Parker finds out about the Spider-Society’s increased security like thermal scanners that would make it so that Miles can’t turn invisible to get past it. Peni can’t hack into the system either because it requires a passcode, one that they find out has been hidden in a different universe, but they don’t know which one. Hobie suggests he takes one for the team and should purposely get caught in order to get to Miguel easier. But Gwen quickly refuses to let him do that, telling Hobie that there’s no way they could know whether or not they actually make it to Miguel, or just get put in jail like the other villains. Peni finds 5 universes that have other Spider-Society hideouts within them that may hold the passcode. The universes are:

Earth-1048 (The Insomniac Universe)
Earth-13122 (The Lego Universe)
Earth-67 (The Spider-Man 1967 show universe)
Earth-92131 (The Spider-Man 90s show universe)
Earth-199999 (The MCU)

They travel through the different universes, starting with the insomniac universe where they meet another Miles. This Miles has a conversation with Spider-Verse Miles and he learns that this Miles’ father died. He motivates Miles to do the right thing and the team sets off to the first Spider-Society hideout, where they don’t find any passcodes.

They go to the Lego Universe, and meet Lego Spider-Man, one of Spider-Man 2099’s highest ranked assistants. Lego Spider-Man tries trapping the team in a Lego Box, but the Team quickly breaks out of this box very easily. The team defeats Spider-Man and goes to the hideout, where once again they don’t find anything.

They go to Earth-67 and they don’t find anything there either, but they also recreate the pointing meme.

Then, when going to Earth-92131 they meet another version of The Spot, a version that they at first believe is their version of the Spot, but they quickly realize that it’s a different version and they have a conversation with them. The Spot tells them his backstory, essentially recapping the episode about him from Spider-Man TAS, and tells the team about how he got out of the world-ending vortex, but at the price of leaving behind the other person there, his love interest, Dr. Lopez. Anyways, after the team tells the Spot about the other Spot, this Spot tells them that they must hurry before their Spot gets too powerful, or else more vortex’s, possibly ones the size of a black hole, could be created. The team finds no passcode here, either, and realize it must be in Earth-199999.

Keep in mind that as the team went through these different universes, their appearances changed. In the Insomniac universe, they appeared as 3D models, in the Lego Universe they looked like Legos. In the two animated universes they had the same style that those universes had, and so when this team goes to visit the MCU, they are in Live Action.

When they visit the MCU, they can’t seem to find the hideout, so to help them out they find out about another version of Peter here, and track him down to his apartment. Peter is immediately surprised that they know he’s Spider-Man, as nobody even knows who he is anymore. Peter realizes that the team can travel universes, and only helps the team out if they help him with a “favor” afterwards. Peni also realizes that there was a glitch in her robot’s system and that there’s actually only 4 hideouts, which means that the team is now forced to go back to Nueva York, bringing Peter with them.

They go over to the Spider-Society’s headquarters, where this time, Spider-Man 2099 is right outside, confronting them for trying to access the other universes to find the passcode, saying that he had cameras in every hideout. Miles tells Miguel that he’s sorry for trying to save his father and the team convinces Spider-Man 2099 to have the Spider-Society aid them in their fight with The Spot. But just then, The Prowler comes to Nueva York, secretly kidnapping Miles and taking him back to Earth 42. The Prowler tells Miles that he’s only going to ask one more time: “What universe can I find my dad in?”

Miles explains that even if he told Prowler where to find his dad, saving him or even interacting with him could cause his universe to be destroyed. The Prowler doesn’t care, and gets the information out of him after he threatens to kill this universe’s Rio Morales and Uncle Aaron. Miles tells him that he’s from Earth-1610, and Prowler goes to that universe. Spider-Man 2099 quickly finds out that Miles was taken to Earth-42, and he asks Miles what happened. Miles explains that his universe is in danger, and Miguel scolds him for yet again putting another whole universe in danger to save one or two people. They quickly head to Mile’s universe, but find out that Earth-1610 is already in the process of being destroyed. Prowler kidnaps Jefferson and takes him back to Earth 42. The team heads there once again, and Miles realizes that the only way to save his universe now is by killing his own dad to create the canon event. After chasing Prowler through different universes, such as Earth-26496 (Spectacular Spider-Man) and the universes where Ultimate Spider-Man (the tv series) and Spider-Man (the 2017 tv series) take place. They finally defeat the Prowler once Spider-Man 2099 grabs him and takes him back to Earth 42, trapping him in his red shield thingy.

Miles then unmasks himself and tells his dad that he must die in order to save their universe. But just then, Gwen tells Miles that there’s another way. As long as Jefferson doesn’t take the role as police captain, the universe will be saved, as her dad got fired and didn’t have to die. But Miguel tells Gwen that it would be too dangerous to go back to Miles’ universe just to get to the police station and have Jefferson quit. Just then, the Spot comes in and tells the team that they don’t have to worry about Jefferson being dealt with, and creates a portal that leads to the outside of the building and pushes Jefferson in, making Jefferson fall down to the ground. Miles fights the Spot, and just as he’s about to kill him, the MCU Peter tells him not to, because he would be the very thing he set out to stop, a murderer. But then, Miguel does it himself, killing the Spot “for the multiverse”. Miguel goes back to Nueva York after fighting the team and destroying each of their watches, trapping them in Earth 42.

Miles jumps out the window and swings down to the ground, where he holds a dead Jefferson Davis in his arms, crying. Each of the members of the team remind him that it’s all part of being Spider-Man, and that now they must stop Miguel. They go back to Prowlers hideout, where they find the blueprint for the makeshift watches and make their own. They go to Nueva York to get to Miguel, and have an epic fight with the Spider Society to get to Miguel.

They fight with Miguel and win. They tell Miguel that he’s in the wrong and that although the Multiverse must be saved, it can’t be at the expense of others. They all leave Nueva York to go back to their own universes, and Miles reunites with his Mom and Ganke, since his Earth is now safe once more. They hold a funeral for his dad, and next to Uncle Aaron’s graffiti mural, Miles spray paints his dad next to him. Gwen also reunites with her dad.

1 year later, we see that a new Spider-Society has been created, lead by Miles and Gwen. This Spider-Society protects the Multiverse from all harm, without anybody else dying either.

In the post credit scene, the MCU Peter reminds Miles that he still owes him a favor, and Miles gives him his very own watch. Peter tells Miles that he has some friends to catch up with and it’s implied that those friends are Peter 2 and Peter 3. (Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield)
