@chilly flax Just to add on to what everyone else is saying with an anecdote; when I was at around 1000hrs, I was exclusively a ground player (dribbles, flicks, fakes, demos, bumps)... only now at 2012hrs am I comfortable enough for cross-map air dribbles, rebounds, flip resets and all that fancy stuff.
Just practice as much as you can in training. You'll soon see some of those training scenarios in actual games and realise "oh, I've practiced this for an hour straight, I've got this!" and we'll all be here to see that juicy play in this channel :)

Because up in the highest ranks, flip resets are saved a good 90% of the time, even more if you try them constantly during the match. Getting a double usually throws people off guard, but I'm yet to score a double in an actual game. Got 'em a few times in actual matches, but always missed >:(
And single stalls are just... Idk, you kinda just expect it
We'd treat it like any other dodge in the air, since both dodges and stalls completely negate your vertical momentum, regardless of how fast you're going up or down

I'm a noob from the ceiling and a noob with flip resets. I'm new to the idea of getting an extra jump and actually using it for anything. But I have to start somewhere with the "extra jump" game. There's no flip reset in this play, but my car ended up ready to catch the ball again if I could have stayed underneath it.
Can see why people work on flip resets since you gain the extra jump without needing to hit the ceiling. I have a lot of work to do until my replays even belong in this room lmao.

Have you never done a regular ceiling shot before this? That technically counts as a flip reset, considering you fall off the roof and have indefinite time to use it. Keep practicing though!

No but for real, if the ball is already in the air by the time youre at the ceiling, it makes life so much easier.... So just drive up, fall off without jumping, fly to where you need to be, and dodge. Remember, dodging removes all vertical momentum, and you will stop falling or gaining altitude immediately. There are countless training packs for ceiling shots

If you're on console, that becomes a much more involved process that another user would have to answer

Yes, it need to be in a .gif format, or hosted on Gyfcat, Imgur, or whatever else you'd like to use. As long as it's not a straight uploaded .mp4 video (or any other video format), and not a YT video, you're fine

In basketball, when you do insane dribbling like this, you can get people to literally trip over their own feet (basically fall over themselves) by playing well. @pastel viper So that’s sort of tornado spinning, except normally you would let off your boost when facing away from the direction of travel so you don’t slow yourself down.
The other shot is basically an arial goal. Check out videos on YouTube if you’re looking to learn more about freestyling.

Yea it comes with time and learning and practice etc. I’m only Plat 3 so it’s not like I have tons of advice. Just try to miss the ball less haha seemed to help me a lot.

Freestyling requires insane car and ball control. Unless you gain a natural affinity to these things via playing the game "normally", you best prepare yourself to spend a couple hundred (if not, thousands) of hours in training, practicing the same things over and over. If you don't do these kinds of things, you'll end up just doing basic things that everyone has seen 1000x over: single flip resets, ceiling shots, cross map air dribbles, back board double taps/rebounds, etcetera. These are the kinds of things you see regularly in GC gameplay, and I genuinely don't remember the last time people actively watched a replay of one of these things, just because they're so damn common now.
To be a "good" freestyler in 2019 (well, closer to 2020 now), you have to push through all the noise of the things that have been done to death. However, learning the tried and true "freestyle" mechanics like standard air dribbles, Kuxir Twists and all these other things, those will build a solid foundation to becoming a good freestyler.
Keep playing, keep training, and soon enough you'll be able to do these things in your sleep.
Just be aware that these things take a lot of time to learn, and you could spend months trying to master and perfect them, yet still fail to do them in actual games because of defenders
