Objectively speaking, Kh1 is a better defense than Kf2

Kh1 loses to Nf4 to give a mate immediately very obvious, Kf1 on the other hand king has more flee-way which makes Nf4 a quiet move harder to spot.

I think you mean Nf5 and again, I'm talking in objective terms, and as far as I could see Kh1 is the best defense
For the engine, Kf2 is a very easy win with mate in 15 moves or less

My engine is good enough for me, I clearly don't need to spot a mate in 15 to solve puzzles.

The thing is that you are trying to claim that the engine move is wrong, so you need to have good proof of that

I was able to get a M19 for Kh1 so, so far, better than Kf2. I will leave the engine running for a while.

Look, don't waste your time, Kf2 is harder to deal with according to any super GM's and amateur players and myself and my engine. That's the important point.
