Standard 'Check' sound not working?

I downloaded the sounds files and the standard 'check.ogg' and 'check.mp3' don't play on windows or Mac. I tried downloading them from the production site (https://lichess1.org/assets/______1/sound/standard/Check.mp3), and they don't appear to work either.
When playing a game, the sound that plays is the standard 'move' sound, not a special 'check' sound.

Thoughts?

the empty sound is intentional, there is no check sound for standard

i don't know if adding one has ever been discussed though
