Without the accuracy it would be harder to determine if somebody is cheating or not, though. I think the accuracy is a good tool for regular users who don't know much about other ways of knowing if somebody cheated or not to determine if somebody they played against used an engine.
For example, if the accuracy of your opponent is 99%, you will naturally start doubting about their credibility.
And by the way, thibault said that once a feature is implemented and people get used to it, it's very hard to get rid of it.
The usefulness of the accuracy in catching cheaters is equal to the usefulness of the followers count in deciding how famous someone is.
so it is very useful?
