Project Name: Untitled Survival Game

Role Required: Concept Artist

My Role: Programmer, Designer

  • Lead Producer / Director
  • I handle everything that goes through the art pipeline (concept, blocking out, sculpting, retopology, UV-unwrapping, material design, etc.)
  • I also handle a majority of the programming and implementation aspects

Team Size: 3 (Myself, a co-programmer, and an animator)

Project Length: More than 4 months, but you will likely only be doing 2 - 3 weeks worth of work or however much you can contribute 🙂

Compensation: 15% revenue share, can be increased to 20% depending on your quality and dedication.

The current revenue share is:

  • 70% Me, 30% Casper (Venom has not yet started on animations)
  • You will receive the compensation from my side.

Project Description: At the moment, the project is dubbed "The Untitled Survival Game." The player is set in a 3D survival-management multiplayer game with a heavy focus on managing workers to construct bases, machines, weapons, and tools to attack and defend against other players. The entire world is made out of hexagonal tiles. We plan on incorporating magic into the game with different art styles inspired by Breath of the Wild and plenty of videos from Curious Archive. We take heavy inspiration from Rimworld and Rust for our core game design pillars.

I designed and developed a basic world generator capable of generating hexagonal worlds, islands, custom vegetation, and other features. We have a basic camera movement system and we're starting work on some of the main, core features of the project. We have a several mood boards, a huge progression tree designed, and several concept models for the characters and textures. I also sculpted and modeled detailed animals for the game already. We utilize Substance Designer heavily to help create some stylized materials for the game.
