<@&1418147013249208350> hello, I was playing Peakwood Potions and reached around level 18 or 19 with all upgrades maxed. I opened YouTube, then switched back to the game. The game load screen showed up, so it seems the game crashed. Then I was forced to do the tutorial, starting from level 4. All of my progress seems to be lost.

Hi Namie! Thanks for letting us know about this. I feel bad about your lost progress.

I hope you don't mind answering the questions below, as it's part of our investigation into possible fixes:

  1. Were there any instances of playing Potion Punch 2+ on more than one device linked to the same iCloud account? Was it ever accessed outside of your device?
  2. Did you play the game offline at some point?
  3. Can you remember any more details regarding the point of rollback? Like did your device prompt you regarding syncing during the 4th tutorial and/or when you returned from YouTube?

We're trying to determine if it was a cloud syncing issue for the game.

I’ve only been playing the game on my iPad.

I’ve been playing since the AA version came out, so it has saved progress across several days.

I’ve only played at home, connected to WiFi, never offline.

Details about rollback: I had been playing the game. I switched to YT so I could load a video to play in the MiniPlayer. When I switched back to the game, the title screen popped up, which I assumed meant the game crashed. When the game loaded in, it played some story dialogue before forcing me to play Level 4. I closed the game and reopened it but it kept doing the same thing—forcing me to play Level 4. I played the level and found that the game had basically bumped me back to that point. All of my workers, upgrades, etc were lost.

I didn’t get any messages about saves or syncing.

Thanks @static heath , I see that you are on 1.00.39 already. Did you start with the previous version, and only experienced the rollback after the update?

Before switching to Youtube, was there a similar instance prior where you closed the game, and/or switched apps, and when you came back to the game it still loaded your current updated progress? Or did you play all the way until level 18/19 in one sitting then it got rolled back?

@wheat ridge I am not sure about updates. I didn’t manually push an update, so if one happened, it was automatic.

I played across several days, not in one sitting. Each time I opened the game, my progress was saved. It was just this instance where my progress was lost. I opened the game again today, just to check, and my progress is still gone.
