That was a really fun little event, and a lot of work was put into it, but what I really liked?
No AFKing, no hard limits (though festia would need those...), and genuinely a fun, challenging crumb of alternative content for casuals.
The rewards were also accessible for casual play and the barrier of entry was ZERO. Genuinely, I would consider this one of the best events Mabinogi has had in years.
I think it could easily be implemented into one of the many empty spaces populating Festia.
The soft 'check-point' of being able to bring back two artefacts to bolster your next run, or reducing your score multiplier for additional early benefits? Really nice way to balance things. Worth keeping, as they make the experience a bit more fun for the casuals!
-# Maybe in a different form, like taking 1 artefact of your choice in exchange for x.30 of your score multiplier. Similar to the outfits.
The only thing I could think of making it better would be an optional multiplayer aspect! Even if it were just for two people. Imagine having to share and balance supplies so you can both carry back your artefacts for potentially double the score? If one of you dies, you follow as a helpful ghost (you can fight), but can't bring back any artefacts - ensure your friend survives so the run isn't a total goner!
-# Peak content. Lmao.
-# I think the Scoring System could easily be implemented into Festia's Score Boards for another way to obtain those wings, for the people who only care about that. I think about you guys too. 🫶 Sure, no gacha gear or chairs, but like... I think Festia's rewards need an overhaul anyway. That's a problem for another day, though.
