The current pet summoning system, even with the addition of the "Pet Parade" skill, is overly tedious, heavily ping-reliant, and forces rapid, repeated pet summoning. We propose tearing off this band-aid entirely and introducing the Fynni Nexus system to unify pet abilities and significantly improve quality of life and combat reliability.

I. Fynni Nexus Core Mechanic

We propose a new pet skill, Fynni Nexus, to be the centerpiece of the overhauled pet system.

  1. New Skill: Fynni Nexus

    • Function: Triggers the Summoning Ability effect of the currently active pet, plus all combined/inherited pets, in a single, instant command.
    • Cooldown: 60 seconds.
    • Goal: Provides a reliable, ping-independent method to apply multiple debuffs/buffs simultaneously.
  2. Fynni Nexus Skill Ranking (Capacity)

    • The rank of the Fynni Nexus skill determines the maximum number of combined Summoning Abilities that can be triggered at once.
    • Example Progression: Rank Novice = 0; Rank F = 1; Rank 1 = 7 different abilities.

II. Fynni Integration & Inheritance

The Fynni Sync mechanism will be re-imagined as a method of permanent ability inheritance.

  • Ability Combination (Summon Abilities):
    • Players can combine the Summoning Abilities of different pets into one Primary Pet using Fynni Sync.
    • Only unique Summoning Abilities can be added (no stacking of the same debuff/buff).
    • The combined pet is lost to the nexus of the primary pet, but its Summoning Ability is permanently added to the Primary Pet's Fynni Nexus pool.
  • Active Skill Inheritance:
    • Allow the transfer of Active Skills with a Cooldown from a merged pet to the Primary Pet.
    • Limitation: This inheritance excludes passive skills that are always active (e.g., Corgi/Kart passive over-time debuffs; or mount boost skills) to prevent passive skill stacking.
  • This removes the restriction that many signature skills can only be used by the pet they originated from.

III. Dynamic Pet Identity and UI (Addressing Sacrificing)

To make the system feel less like "sacrificing" and more like "merging," we propose adding dynamic identity switching and a dedicated management UI.

  1. Pet Management UI:
    • A new UI should be added to manage the Primary Pet's Fynni Nexus pool.
    • This UI allows players to enable/disable which combined Summoning Abilities are triggered by the Fynni Nexus skill.
  2. Dynamic Identity Switching (Fynni Sync Improvements):
    • Allow the player to choose which visual pet form (Primary Pet or any merged pet) is displayed when summoned.
    • Trigger for Switching: Using the Fynni Nexus skill will trigger a visual switch if the player changes the primary pet to one of the merged pets.
    • Effect of Switching: The pet's passive abilities and name will change to match the displayed pet.
    • Cooldown: The visual switch would be tied to the Fynni Nexus cooldown (60 seconds) to prevent spamming passive swaps.

IV. Pet Naming Convention

To address pet naming confusion with merged pets:

  • Suggestion: Implement a non-restrictive Nickname System that is displayed over a pet's unique name. This Nickname can be changed at will, simplifying the management of visually swapped pets. Each merged pet can be assigned its own nickname.

Conclusion

These changes allow a Primary Pet to benefit from the Summoning Abilities and Active Skills of other pets, greatly simplifying combat rotation while adding strategic depth via the new Fynni Nexus skill and the Dynamic Identity Switching.
