Windows 10 has reached the end of life effective on October 14. Windows 11 proves to be a liability to many users and it needs to expand outside of Windows, such as Linux, Apple Mac, and an upcoming operating system called SteamOS. Mabinogi has been focused for Windows for a long time, but it needs to change as computer technology is evolving faster than I expected. I hope the original creators of Mabinogi needs to understand the current situation of the game and the strong community that is built through this game.
#Mabinogi needs more cross-platform Operating Systems

Considering that the game is about to go onto the Unreal Engine after so many years on a spagetti code engine, it should be crosscompatible after that. I just looked up and Unreal runs on Linux and Mac. So theoretically it should work on those to play the game after Eternity goes live. Sadly that's still a bit of time
SteamOS is coming out on early 2026 through Steam Machine. I would try to see if Mabinogi is compatible for SteamOS.
As of right now, because Linux is an unsupported platform, accounts may be at risk of sanctions due to breach of ToS.
Methods to run Mabinogi on Linux should not be shared in here either, as breaching ToS is against our guidelines. Please continue to show your support for Linux accessibility, but keep in mind that we don't allow the distribution of methods that breach ToS, as it is against our guidelines.
😒
-# I do wish they'd add Linux support myself, honestly. No reason not to.

This might be a good time to cross-platform outside of Windows. Their "update" is screwing their OS recently.
Whatever support Unreal Engine 5 can provide will be what we get. Deviating dev effort to add OS support to this spaghetti of a college-homework-gone-to-production Pleione engine is asking for a monumental effort with little results. Id rather have them speed up Eternity.
Unreal 5 is also kind of not very good unfortunately 😭 It would at least hypothetically allow better cross-platform but like.....
