#Blacksmithing Minigame RNG

During the mini-game we have to click X's to determine the item's overall quality, but in this mini-game even if you click pixel perfect the game will still offset your clicks because "randomness". I find it a little unfair that even with the smithing buffs and royal title that my crafting is still up to complete RNG. Tailoring does not get this penalty but Blacksmithing does? Why should my crafted item's quality come from RNG and not skill/work put into the actual minigame and getting the required gear/titles? We have enough unfair RNG as it is when it comes to HE/MC, we don't need every single life skill to come down to a dice roll, let hard work actually be paid off.
Edit: Giegue made a great point, why not give us more blacksmithing quality enhancements like a hammer reforge. This would counter the problem.

Please change this, its frustrating having every quality buff possible and still not being able to guarantee sigs for friends.

Didn't they address this in KR and the devs themselves said it is working as intended for the mini game?

From what I remember, I think it was a thing added to counter bots and stuff that just...auto-perfected. I could be entirely wrong.

(Fun fact: Cooking has the same thing even though you can't see the jitter anymore at r1)

It is working as it should be and that's a problem. I get they don't want us making factory perfect weapons so SOME RNG has to be in place but the fact that I can have the best smithing gear/titles in the game and be a royal yet I cannot guarantee a sig is wild. Maybe make a mechanic to where the more quality buffs you have the smaller the cursor is?

The way I've understood it to work is that we all default to '100% quality' and this is reduced by a mixture of low-rank penalty, player error (in mini-game) and chance (mini-game rng) to add a 'realistic' sense of imperfection in every item.

I liked that the RNG added a 'value' to signature items - a chance at something truly special and unique...back in the day when a good weapon wasn't a whole life investment and a bad roll made that 6 month grind feel like a waste.

I'd be...ok with removing the RNG, but it is likely there to prevent botting. I am 90% sure the RNG is actually present with Tailoring too, there's just the ability to undo the start of a stitch to manipulate that RNG somewhat.
**Edit: **I think maybe RNG shouldn't be capable of removing a sig chance entirely if the minigame is played perfectly within the possible margin of error.

I think the BIGGER problem with the Blacksmithing minigame is the lack of quality enchants/reforges that counteract the RNG, which is actually why Tailoring is way easier to sig than Blacksmithing. I'd take one or the other, but personally I'd kind of prefer Blacksmithing just having the option to reward investment (fairly, putting it on equal possibilities to Tailoring) rather than handing it over for free.

either remove the rng or add quality reforges, theres no reason for blacksmith to be so up to rng when tailor gets guaranteed sigs so free
