for hard mode, you can try timeshift vortex on both sides to clear and gather mob then use pet bead skill (punch, wind or pull) to kill
starlight veil and gravity well also help gather since its faster cast than nova blast

if you are a DD you could always try to vortex one side and wind blast/gravity well the other side into the vortex, windmill the vortex with a pet then kill the remaining two next to the boss
