Since the launch of the Auction House, many players have shifted their buying and selling practices, resulting in a significant decline of activity in Belvast. This once-thriving marketplace, filled with diverse personal shops and creative wares, has become a barren landscape. The joy of exploring various shops and interacting with fellow players has been largely replaced by a more transactional and impersonal experience.

The Proposal:

To revitalize Belvast and restore it as a bustling shopping district, the following changes are suggested:

Increase Shop Licenses to 100m: Allowing more players to set up personal shops will bring life back to Belvast. An increase in shop licenses will encourage creativity and foster community interaction, making shopping a fun and engaging experience once again.

Reduce Sales Fees (0%?): Lowering the fees associated with selling items in personal shops will incentivize players to use them rather than relying solely on the Auction House. This adjustment will make selling more accessible and appealing, encouraging a diverse range of goods and styles to flourish.

Benefits:

Enhanced Community Engagement: Reviving Belvast will create a space for players to interact, trade, and showcase their unique styles, enriching the overall experience of Mabinogi.

Increased Variety of Goods: With more players willing to set up personal shops, the diversity of items available will grow, allowing for greater customization and enjoyment in fashion and gameplay.

A Win-Win Situation: These changes will not only benefit players by enhancing their experience but will also lead to a more dynamic in-game economy, fostering a stronger community.

Thank you for your support! Let’s bring Belvast back to life!

I'd say a big selling factor would also be to enable those shops to be independant from the owner's status. With the auction house, I can just log off and change channels as I want, or engage in activities without fearing my shop will close.

That's not the case with shops and kiosks.

Make the license last for a set amount of time, and if the shops ends up empty for a certain amount of time (say 30m), automatically close it to free up the space for another player.

I like yours ideas,

But I do hafta say that Belvast shopping didn't just decrease with the implementation of the Auction House, but also the fact that Shopping Liscences were equalized at some point which encouraged players to return to Dunbarton, which during the peak of Belvast, was often barren in comparison due to the tiny limit.

There would need to be a reason for players to return to Belvast specifically, as Dunbarton has always been the superior option as far as locations are concerned.

1.) Possible listed prices in shop should be the same as AH so it I wanted to sell a warlord, let me... proceeds directly to bank account so personal gold limit in inventory not an issue.

2.) lower fees for Belvast over dunbarton. If AH is 5% or whatever. 2.5% for dunbarton and 1% for Belvast.

Agreed on the "player or brownie" not required. Let me as a player shift channels or even log out and shop remains until empty or time elapsed on license.

I do love this idea overall
