Atlatls are a unique and fun weapon exclusive to giants with lots of potential!
Give them pierce and bonus STR scaling, sure, it might only be one skill, but so is meteor!
If an arrow can pierce, and Lances can pierce why not a javelin launched by a giant using their full strength!
Atlatls deserve synergy with elemental knight or an upcoming arcana, they are a fun ranged alternative with nuking potential, just like magnum shot.
They are a 2H weapon with 1H erg requirements, that act like ranged weapons and deal ranged damage, but scale with STR, making them very unique and fun!
If perseus control bars can have pierce or infinite arrows on a bow
why not a perseus atlatl with inherent double-shot javelins? It could either hit the same target 2x or hit 2 targets near each other, making the atlatl either a fun nuke or a good ranged crowd control tanks can use to peel off of allies.

Additional, Concrete Suggestions:
1- Bring back the Jousting Javelins, which were removed from the game and right now there's no way to obtain more.
I am not too clear if they are currently stronger than the alternatives, because they have 5 less max atk, and then a flat dmg increase bonus, which might not make up for it, so if necessary, they could recieve a buff to make them worth the extra effort in getting them. (i.e. Jousting Points)
2- Release a new craftable Atlatl, at least something Celtic Level.
attributes this new Atlatl could have could be:
2a- Innate Piercing 1 or maybe obtainable with normal upgrades.
2b- Innate 1 second reduction to Skill Cooldown or maybe obtainable with normal upgrades.
2c- A matching infinite Javelin that could maybe activate these two previous bonuses, or other bonuses when paired with the new Atlatl, and more attack power to make it better than the Jousting Javelins (either the old ones, or the hypotetically buffed ones) and worth crafting/getting too.
3- Allow more Close Combat skills to be available when wielding an Atlatl.
specifically Stampede and Charge could be available to use,
to improve mobility while wielding one,
and enable giants to support the team better.
Atlatl's could definitely use some love! There's so many things that could be done to breathe some life into atlatl usage, it's a really cool weapon that fits the kind of wilder feel that mabi giants in vales have really well.
All of Lance's suggestions are really solid ones and make sound sense. And the ideas suggesting introduction of both new atlatls, and new javelins for the atlatls with ideas like double-shot javelins is awesome.
Even something like an explosive tipped atlatl would be cool to give us some sort of big boom single toss AOE ranged option. It would also fit with the engineering thematic that vales giants have. We already whip up guns and bullets, why not explosive atlatls?
Introducing different kinds of javelins that could be rotated out based on the effect we're after would be a fun way to add variation and change things up
A new atlatl that has a handful of unique ammunition that interacts with it in different ways based on which you're using would be really fun.
There are a LOT of ideas to play with when it comes to how new javelins could add some variety to all the existing javelins and any new ones that may come out in the future. Some ideas I immediately had come to mind would be things like a Life drain effect, Def/Prot reduction effect, Really high percentage bleed effect, Large-scale AoE effect, Increased range effect. Any of those would add value to all the existing atlatls and any new ones that may come out.
