I mean no big deal right, you only need 200 BMEs for a Destructive Robe with a <1% drop rate for runs...how many weeks of running Crom Bas before you get enough marbles for an Irusan's Bell? Game devs, management, please look at the crafting requirements with players and feasibility in mind please. I think it would should be an attainable end-game goal within a year to achieve if you played the game pretty regularly, not a couple of years and then spending money on gacha to make gold to buy the remaining components. Also placing items in a gacha do not work as a solution, please don't.

not that I entirely disagree

some items in the game are simply designed to be trophies more than they are progression steps

however something to consider is also https://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Party#Production_Party

  • Excluding the player's own character, every party member will add a 1% bonus success rate towards the skill being used.
  • The bonus rate becomes 5% when a member of the party has a an equal or higher rank of the skill the player is using.
  • Excluding the player's own character, every party member adds 5% of the base completion rate when Tailoring and Blacksmithing
  • For example, if making Cores Ninja Suits (base completion rate 40%), every party member adds 2% completion rate, to a maximum of 54% with a full party.
% bonus I'm fairly sure is based on the the original avg not additive based on the example given
Mabinogi World Wiki

A Party consists of a team of players that join together as a team temporarily.

so assuming my math is correct and both are talking about the same bonus (unclear) at 7 party members with dan 3 tailoring you could get it to and avg of 13.5% or around 7.4 taps ( so 148 BME average )

#

also can't say for certain without more data but fairly sure the BME drop rate is well over 1% now per run but people will need to accumulate more run data to know for sure

Issue is less the item needed but more how many of them are required for the craft.

A 'finishing material' for Perseus weapons requiring 15 of a rare mat comes off as incredibly convoluted

#

Every single new weapon requiring an extensive amount of rare materials only inflates the market and makes the cost of upgrading gear so much worse

Honestly, the needing xyz amount wouldn't be that bad if you weren't with absolute perfect rng gated to the run limit. You will likely not get 2 of the mat you're looking for per week. They seem to be going for a 4 month average for any weapon from tech now, which is way too long to reasonably expect someone to progress past what they want to be the midgame.

and then you finally get the mats and craft the weapon only for it to roll trash
