We could've had this, but we did not, for some reason. Overall, the design aspect of the glyph update was very underwhelming.
So, here's a few suggested changes:
- Let us save our own glyph designs. This is a much-needed feature for such a base concept. Why let us do custom designs if we need to remake it from scratch every time?
-- Could be using glyph imprints as a consumable for saving designs; like a coupon, maybe. - Add 'layers' or 'groups' so we can better sort the shapes together.
- Allow us to mirror only certain shapes as opposed to the entire thing. To do so, a box selection could be implemented with the shape placement options.
- Make us able to choose the direction which shape groups move into (clockwise or counter-clockwise)
- How about making the items rotate individually too, and at a speed of our own choosing? This can be as simple as the slider on DIY flashy dyes, going from slowest to fastest.
- Add a 'fill' tool, so we can fill in color certain shape sets instead of layering multiple types.
- Add a 'move to top' button for shapes, or a way to move shapes in the list more easily. Drag and drop would be ideal. Having to click 50 times and not lose sight of the shape is hard.
- While we have a grand total of 60 shapes with the grandmaster effect, perhaps we could have some other part-time job reward with Etain or Pencast that would allow us to up that limit? (Etain makes sense lore-wise, but anyone of the Pontiff's court could do as well. That church DOES have a library and other unseen things to it.)
- The limited-time inks could also be part of those rewards, and perhaps add more types as well?
- Perhaps glyph design save slots could also be rewards from that hypothetical part-time job.
- Maybe a custom glyph ink made from mixed paint?
