I'm not sure you'll find friends this way. If you're looking for people in game to play with consistently, you might wanna just mess around Dunbarton for a bit. Chat with some active players and ask if anyone wants to do a dungeon or commerce. Similarly, if you find new players you could make friends with them by helping em through the start of the game.
Commerce is how I made friends personally. Other than that, just be friendly and strike up conversation to get somewhere. ❤
